Rêve de Sorbet (Sorbet Dream): Emerging Hues of Modern Pastels
At the Paris shows, we saw an emergence of this captivating color trend—one that exudes the sweetness of sherbet and the youthful vibrancy of spring. This palette, "Rêve de Sorbet (Sorbet Dream)," showcases a delightful array of pastel shades, including peach, yellow, pink, and pistachio. With their soft hues and fresh appeal, this fashion-influenced palette breathes life into any collection, infusing it with a sense of joy and optimism.
These colors conjure the Pantone 2024 color of the year, Peach Fuzz. When the color was announced, the gentle peach was received with mixed emotions by American interior design voices. While some designers enjoyed the pretty, nurturing aspects of the shade, others were unhappy walking down 80’s memory lane. Each year in Paris, we see trends that are still seasons from appearing in our markets; perhaps the more vibrant peach colors in the Rêve de Sorbet (Sorbet Dream) palette will energize American markets in the future.
